Project Description
Jimmy Ton is a Sony Photo Specialty Territory Manager for Bedford Camera. His extensive background in photo and video with a degree in Audio/Video Communication has allowed him to share his knowledge with the community. Jimmy has instructed numerous photo and video classes throughout his territory, PPA chapters, colleges and universities, and photo clubs. Jimmy continues to master his craft by shooting with Sony gear in his free time so that he may provide field use, honest advice, and feedback.

Making a good film is hard to do. Luckily this class will give you the knowledge on how to be better prepared for your tasks at hand. The class will go over the audio aspect of filmmaking with practical situations and solutions that can happen out in the field. We will guide you through some common types of microphones that are best used in certain situations. Some of the microphone types will include Lavaliers, Shotguns, and cardioid polar capsules. With audio being a great start, this class will also include how to use boom poles, setting your levels, when to use a lavalier, and much more.
